My philosophy on taking photographs is simple. Capture a sense of reality (as I see it), not hyper-reality. Modern editing software allows photos captured in RAW format to be infinitely tweaked. Every aspect adjusted and made to seem hyper-real. These photos look amazing, but sometimes they don’t look real. I want the person looking at my photo to experience what I saw at the time I took the image. What was it like to be there? What did it feel like? For me, it’s that simple.
