Waiting, waiting…

Well, you might recall that i ordered the Nikon Z 24-120 f4 S lens back in November. Well the other day I noticed that Nikon have taken the money from my bank account. I can only presume from this that the lens is very close to shipping. It’s now 21 December, so I suspect that it won’t arrive for Christmas day. However, its arrival in early 2022 will certainly make a great start to the year. From the reviews I’ve seen so far from Ricci Chera and Matt Irwin, this lens looks really good. Ok, it’s not a f2.8, so the depth of field and bokeh might not be as great, but nevertheless, for the price, this lens should be very good. Although I do love the bokeh that the 35 mm f1.8 lens can produce, to be honest most of my shots these days are at f11 to f16. For most landscape photography you want everything to be in focus, which means smaller aperture (a larger f number). Anyway, fingers crossed that this lens arrives soon and I can start playing with my first zoom lens! I can’t wait to see what I can create with it.

[UPDATE] - 22 December… Well I was wrong about the lens not arriving before Christmas - it arrived this morning! Looking forward to using this over the Christmas break.
